Funeral services were held at the Freedom Baptist Church on Friday afternoon at 2:30 for Thomas SAWYER age 84 who passed away at his home east of Russellville. Mr. Sawyer for 19 years lived in this community in the tenent house adjoining Freedom Cemetery and served as caretaker of the church and Cemetery. He is survived by the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Mabel Todd and 3 nephews. Mrs Willie Wiatt and Isaac furnished the music, Miss Wanetah Wiatt accompanied on the piano. Rev. John Servies officiated. Burial in Freedom. kbz
